Do not place private information in public comments. Published content may also be copied or indexed by third parties outside our control.

Private correspondence is not automatically intended for publication. If confidentiality is important, contact us before sending sensitive material. Ordinary email should not be assumed to provide an anonymous or fully secure reporting channel.

9. Editorial Information

News reporting may involve personal information. We consider relevance, accuracy, privacy, and public interest when making editorial decisions.

Any journalistic exceptions are assessed under the applicable law and circumstances; they do not automatically cover account management, advertising, or other operational processing.

12. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information and limit access to authorised purposes.

Depending on applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of eligible personal information.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may also raise a complaint with a competent authority. Where Thailand’s PDPA applies, this may include the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand.

Send requests to news@thailandnepal.com with the subject “Thai Nepali — Privacy Request.”

We may request proportionate identity verification. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful reason for declining a request.

If accounts are available, request deletion by contacting our privacy email.

Additional deletion route, if available:
[Insert the actual in-app menu path or web deletion-request link.]

Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations, security, claims, or lawful editorial purposes. Account deletion does not automatically require the removal of all published reporting.

15. Children’s Information

Our news services are intended for a general audience.

Where collecting a minor’s information requires parental or guardian authorisation, we obtain that authorisation before the relevant processing.

If you believe a child has provided information without required authorisation, contact us so we can review the situation.

16. Third-Party Services

External links, embedded videos, and social-media features may involve separate providers and privacy policies.

17. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, or legal obligations. The revision date will be updated accordingly.

Material changes will receive appropriate notice. We obtain new consent where required rather than treating continued use as blanket consent.
